Dr. Darren Lee
Dr. Darren Lee is passionate about understanding his patients’ functional goals and helping them to achieve these goals through an interdisciplinary team. He maintains a broad clinical skill set including diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal and orthopedic disorders, acute and chronic pain, neurodegenerative disorders, spinal cord injury, amputation, and acquired brain injury. He is trained in both ultrasound-guided and fluoroscopic (x-ray guided) injections and is a clinical instructor with the University of British Columbia in the Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R).
Dr. Lee obtained a B.Sc. in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry at Yale University in 2009. He subsequently completed his medical degree (2014) and residency in PM&R (2018) at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. He became the first Chief Resident in Quality Improvement and Safety in PM&R at the Veterans Affairs Puget Sound Health Care System, completing this fellowship program in 2019. Prior to moving back to his hometown of Vancouver in 2021, Dr. Lee worked in private practice in Seattle, WA, and Omaha, NE.
In his spare time, Dr. Lee is an avid music producer, playing the violin, trombone, and guitar, and also enjoys staying active through soccer, cycling, and skiing
