Dr. Brendan Kushneriuk
Dr. Brendan Kushneriuk specializes in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R). He graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Science in Anatomy and Cell Biology (2010). He obtained his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Saskatchewan (2015). He also completed residency training in PM&R at the University of Saskatchewan (2020). Prior to moving to Vancouver, Dr. Kushneriuk worked in Saskatoon as a Clinical Assistant Professor in PM&R and Associate Program Director of the University of Saskatchewan PM&R residency training program.
Dr. Kushneriuk has a wide range of general PM&R clinical interests including stroke, spasticity management, pain management, musculoskeletal medicine and diagnosis of peripheral nerve conditions through nerve conductions studies (NCS) and electromyography (EMG). He strives to establish comprehensive interdisciplinary rehabilitation treatment plans. Specific procedures he performs include myofascial trigger point therapy, as well as ultrasound-guided peripheral musculoskeletal injections and chemodenervation.
Outside of work, Dr. Kushneriuk loves spending time with his wife and young son. He is excited to explore Vancouver and is looking forward to discovering the outdoor opportunities including hiking, skiing and golfing
