Dr. Lawrence Kei
Dr. Lawrence Kei is a specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R). He completed his medical degree at the University of British Columbia medical school in 2014 and his residency in PM&R at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in 2019. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in PM&R.
His practice includes the assessment and treatment of patients with neurologic and musculoskeletal disorders such as spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, stroke, and degenerative neurologic conditions such as multiple sclerosis, amputations, and chronic pain. A large component of his practice involves using ultrasound for interventions, including corticosteroid injections, nerve blocks, trigger point injections, percutaneous needle tenotomy, and spasticity.
He holds an academic position as a clinical instructor at the University of British Columbia (UBC) Department of Medicine and is actively involved in the training of residents from the University of British Columbia and the University of Alberta.
He currently practices at New Westminster Rehabilitation Medicine, Body Restoration in Edmonton, Alberta, as well as Opal Physiotherapy and Health Clinic.
